Ministry Profile

The Knoxes have been serving God in Japan since 1987.  Becky's parent were missionaries to Japan and she was raised there.  During their first term, the Knoxes did their language studies in Becky's home town while they assisted in the church that was founded by her father.

The Knoxes now work in Saitama which is in central Japan, just northwest of Tokyo.  As with many affluent cultures, the Japanese tend to be very busy in pursuit of materialistic things and have little time left over to devote to spiritual matters.  Church growth is slow among the adults but the children’s and youth ministries (especially Summer Camps) have been fruitful.  A primary source of contacts within the community has been through teaching English Classes in their home.
